Hi, I’m Megan

I’m the photographer behind Wray 18 Photography, a Northeast Ohio photographer who loves capturing the real, everyday moments that make your life yours.

My love for photography started years ago. My family always had cameras around and loved documenting life, but I really started taking photography seriously during my senior year of high school in 2018. What started as something I simply enjoyed quickly became something I couldn’t imagine not doing.

Today, I’m a family, lifestyle, maternity, wedding, and engagement photographer, with a special place in my heart for family and lifestyle photography. I love the moments that happen naturally, the laughs you didn’t plan, the little interactions between you and your kids, and the quiet moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. I want your photos to feel like you, not like you spent the entire session trying to look perfect.

My approach

I’m all about keeping things relaxed and comfortable. You don’t need to know how to pose, and your kids definitely don’t need to sit perfectly still and smile at the camera the whole time.

Some of my favorite images happen in between the poses. The giggles, the hugs, the little looks, the movement, and all the wonderfully imperfect moments that make your family yours.

I love natural lighting, warm tones, cozy spaces, and photographs that feel true to life. My goal is for you to look back at your gallery years from now and remember not only what you looked like, but what that season of life actually felt like.

A little more about me

Outside of photography, I’m a wife and a proud boy mom. Becoming a mom has given me an even deeper appreciation for how quickly these little seasons pass. Life with a toddler can be messy, loud, chaotic, and beautiful all at once, and honestly, I think that’s part of what makes it so worth documenting.

I also work in eye care part-time, which is a part of my life that I really value. Photography may be a huge part of who I am, but I’ve always loved working with people and building genuine connections.

And then there’s the fun stuff. I’m a huge coffee person, a music lover, and a bit of a Marvel nerd. I love Stranger Things, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Friends, and Gilmore Girls. I’m happiest surrounded by cozy lights, a warm drink, good food, my family, and our two adventurous dogs.

I love traveling with my husband, exploring new places, finding little coffee shops, and taking way too many pictures along the way.

At the end of the day, photography is about people for me. I love watching someone go from feeling a little nervous in front of the camera to completely forgetting it’s even there. I love when families relax, kids get to be themselves, and couples genuinely have fun together.

That’s what I want your experience to feel like: relaxed, genuine, and completely yours.

Because your life doesn’t have to look perfect to be worth remembering.
