Hey, I'm Megan—The Face Behind the Camera
Photography has always been a part of my life. My dad always had a camera in hand, capturing everything from big milestones to the little in-between moments. The rest of my family was the same way—always snapping photos, making sure every moment was remembered. Naturally, I grew up appreciating the power of a photograph. But it wasn’t until my senior year that I really started taking photography seriously, and from that moment on, I’ve been pushing myself to grow, create, and tell stories through my lens.
My Style? Warm, Cozy, and Natural.
I love working with natural light and capturing people as they truly are—comfortable, happy, and in their element. My goal is to make every session feel like a fun, laid-back experience rather than a stiff, posed photoshoot. Some of my favorite moments happen when people forget the camera is even there.
Why I Love What I Do.
There’s something special about watching people start to relax and have fun during a shoot. At first, there might be some nerves, but then—something shifts. They start laughing, moving naturally, and just enjoying the moment. That’s when the best photos happen. And seeing their reaction afterward? That never gets old. Knowing I’ve helped create memories that will last a lifetime is the most fulfilling part of what I do.
A Favorite Shoot? One Word: Magical.
One of my most memorable sessions was an engagement shoot in October 2023. The couple chose a location that had a deep meaning—it was the place where they had their first date. The emotions, the atmosphere, the love they had for each other—it all came together in the most beautiful way. Moments like that remind me why I love this job so much.
More Than Just Photography.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m working in eye care (yes, the medical field is still a big part of my life!). I also spend my time with my amazing husband, our beautiful baby boy, and our two dogs, Tigger and Winnie. Family means everything to me.
I’m also a total coffee fanatic. I’m on a mission to master the art of making barista-level coffee at home—partially to save money (because, let’s be real, Starbucks adds up fast) but mostly because I just love making them. There’s something about the process that I find so satisfying.
Music has always played a huge role in my life, and when I’m not jamming out, I’m probably watching (or rewatching) a Marvel movie. Yes, I’ve seen them all. And if you ever want to talk about travel or food, I’m your person—I love trying dishes from different cultures and experiencing new places.
At the end of the day, photography is about connection. It’s about capturing moments that mean something, whether it’s the quiet ones, the silly ones, or the ones filled with overwhelming joy. If you’re looking for a photographer who will make you feel comfortable, have fun, and deliver photos that feel like you, let’s make some magic together.
